The Heidelberg Project started in 1986 Detroit native and artist Tyree Guyton. According to the HP website, this was originally designed as a creative response to ongoing blight and decay in the neighborhood Guyton grew up in. A week or two ago, news broke that the project will be coming down piece by piece over the next two years. After hearing the news, I knew it was time to go visit. Below are a few photos I took at HP.
