One thing I love to photograph outside of architecture are flowers!
Not sure how that became one of my favorite things to photograph, but it has been my favorite for years. I’m always trying to find new and fun ways to take photos of flowers. Below are photos I’ve taken over the past few months, either here in Detroit or from my DC trip.

A moment of honesty - I have been using autofocus on my Canon Rebel since I've bought it years ago and never took [or had] the time to learn manual focus. Along with learning how to use and master manual focus, I decided to learn more about (micro) influencer marketing since I had some free time. Micro-influencers are those people who have between 1,000 to 1,000,000 followers/audience members on a social media site and are consider to be an expert within a certain field (i.e. food, fashion, travel). I heard about this website called Influenster and heard that it is great for beginners within the influencer world. After trying it out and receiving some free products, I agree that it's great for beginners and great to learn about the influencer world. Below are some of the shots I've taken using manual focus and/or trying out different angles/layouts for product shots. *not an ad. Shea Moisture products were complimentary from Influenster* Graduation season is always an exciting time, especially for African American/black grads.
Society believes that African Americans can’t/won’t graduate from college so it’s amazing to see year after year, semester after semester, AA/Blacks graduate. Because my younger sister is graduating at the end of this year and we finally got some sunshine in Michigan, we walked around MSU to take some grad photos. 📸 |
