About the InitiativeWe, myself and four other Oakland University journalism students (current or graduate), worked as interns for city officials as part of the Oakland University/Pontiac Initiative. The initiative is a way to connect Oakland University (in Auburn Hills/Rochester) and the city of Pontiac. We also created "The Spirit of Pontiac," which is a newsletter that features content that shares the news about the city.
