I feel like Prom season is always fun, yet challenging for photographers. For me, I am a bit of a perfectionist so I always want the right angle and right light for each individual shot. Prom season is in full swing! Below are some photos I took of a family friend for her prom. *Also check out my Instagram post to see more photos! Wedding #2! I was asked to be the photographer at another one of my cousin's wedding on 8/19. Being the only photographer for the entire day was a challenge because I only have one camera body, two lenses and one battery. I believe I took over 1,000 photos so below are just a few of the photos I took. The Heidelberg Project started in 1986 Detroit native and artist Tyree Guyton. According to the HP website, this was originally designed as a creative response to ongoing blight and decay in the neighborhood Guyton grew up in. A week or two ago, news broke that the project will be coming down piece by piece over the next two years. After hearing the news, I knew it was time to go visit. Below are a few photos I took at HP. My brother and his AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) team, the Michigan Hoopers, became the Midwest Athletics Champions by beating their competitors, the Harper Woods Panthers and Michigan United. To see more of this story and more pictures, visit my photography blog.

My photography blog has more detailed information about the trip along with more pictures. On Sat, March 5, I had the opportunity to take pictures at my first wedding event. This wedding was very important to me for two reasons: 1. It was my first wedding event and 2. It was one of my cousin’s wedding. In June 2015, I had the opportunity to take pictures of my sister and her prom date. I was stressed only because I wanted the pictures to turn out great and according to family and friends, they turned out great. |
